Terms of Use
Version 1.1 ยท Last updated 19 October 2026
The short version: the tool is free and provided as it is. It does arithmetic and layout, not tax, accounting or legal advice. You're responsible for what your invoices say and for following your local tax rules, so check with an accountant if you're unsure. Your invoices stay in your browser, so keep your own copies.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms apply to Invoice Maker at invoicemaker.maxpower.studio, including the email signature generator and the invoice template guide (together, "the tool"). The tool is provided by MaxPower Studio ("we", "us"). By using the tool you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the tool.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old to use the tool. If you use it for a business, you confirm you're allowed to act for that business.
3. What the tool does
The tool lets you create invoices, quotes and estimates, receipts, credit notes and email signatures in your web browser. The free tool needs no account. Your entries are saved only in your browser on your device, and PDFs and QR codes are made on your device. We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering the tool, at any time.
4. Not tax, accounting or legal advice
The templates, wording and calculations are general. Tax and discount amounts are simple arithmetic on the rates and amounts you type in. The tool doesn't know the rules that apply to you, such as what a valid tax invoice must show, whether a receipt can also serve as a tax invoice, when you need a credit or adjustment note and what it must show, whether you must charge GST, VAT or sales tax, rounding rules, numbering rules or how long to keep records. Check with a qualified accountant or your tax authority before relying on any document for tax purposes.
5. Your responsibilities
- You're responsible for the accuracy and completeness of every document or signature you make, including names, amounts, tax rates, tax or business numbers and payment details.
- You're responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including tax, invoicing, consumer and record-keeping laws.
- You must have the right to use any logo, name, image or other content you add, and to use your clients' details.
- Any payment link you add must be your own and safe for your clients to open. The QR code simply points to the link you enter.
- Keep your own copies. Because your data is stored only in your browser, it can be lost if you clear your browser data, use private browsing, change device or click "Clear my data". We can't recover it. Use "Export backup" and keep the PDFs you send. The CSV history export is a convenience list, not an accounting record.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the tool to break the law, to create false, misleading or fraudulent invoices, to impersonate anyone, to send people to harmful or phishing links, or to interfere with or overload the site.
7. Your content and our site
What you type and upload stays yours, and we don't receive it in the free tool. You may use the invoices and signatures you create for any lawful purpose, including commercially, with no attribution. The site itself (its design, text and code) belongs to MaxPower Studio or its licensors. The PDF fonts are Noto Sans, used under the SIL Open Font License.
8. Other services
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Links you add (for example a payment link or a logo link in an email signature) go to services run by others. We're not responsible for those services.
9. The tool is provided "as is"
We work to keep the tool accurate and available, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows: (a) we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue or data, tax penalties or interest, or loss caused by errors in documents you create; and (b) our total liability to you for all claims about the tool is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim arose or, if you haven't paid us anything, A$50.
11. Australian Consumer Law and your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it's limited (at our choice) to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again. If you're a consumer in the EU, UK or elsewhere, you also keep the mandatory rights your local law gives you.
12. Paid features
The tool is free. If we offer paid features in future, any extra terms (including prices, refunds and cancellation) will be shown to you, and you'll be asked to agree to them, before you buy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and date at the top will change, and we'll highlight important changes on the site. If you keep using the tool after a change, the new terms apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. This doesn't take away any right you have to bring a claim in the courts where you live under mandatory consumer law.
